Description
Amazon is seeking a Global Stock Plan Specialist to join our Global Financial & Workplace Benefits team in Seattle, WA. This hands-on, detail-oriented individual contributor role will collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to support regulatory requirements and reporting for Amazon's global stock plans. Qualified candidates should possess stock plan compliance or relevant finance/accounting experience.The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, with strong project management skills and the ability to navigate complex international equity compensation issues. Effective collaboration with internal and external contacts, and a commitment to improving processes in a highly dynamic environment are essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate critical thinking skills, a strong focus on attention to detail with sound judgment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for customer service.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage daily operations related to equity programs for employees worldwide, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely processing.
• Collaborate closely with Amazon's stock plan providers to manage day-to-day activities, monitor service quality, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Ensure timely delivery of all required information for month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Reconcile stock transactions globally to ensure accurate income reporting and tax withholding compliance.
• Partner with internal corporate teams, including HR, Legal, Payroll, Tax, and Accounting, to provide required reporting and support.
• Develop and implement procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timely processing of equity-related operations.
• Respond to inquiries and provide guidance to employees, managers, and HR teams globally, assessing risks, resolving issues, and escalating as appropriate.
• Support the definition of system requirements, creation of test plans and scripts, and conduct thorough system testing for equity-related systems and processes.
• Provide tactical and analytical support to management, contributing to strategic decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
• Lead initiatives to automate manual processes and develop comprehensive documentation of equity operations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.• 2+ years of global stock plan administration, finance, accounting, or related work experience gained through in-house programs or consulting/accounting firms
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and database analysis, comfortable working with large amounts of information and communicating data findings.
• Experience tracking and reporting program metrics to all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem-solving, issue resolution, ability to work in an ambiguous and deadline-driven environment, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• International business experience with stock or finance/accounting.
Extended Qualifications
• 5+ years in global equity plan development, administration, and program governance.• Possession of a professional designation such as Certified Equity Professional (CEP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Enrolled Agent (EA).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with business partners and teams.
• Strong business judgment and a practical, common-sense approach to solving complex problems.
• Project management skills with a proven ability to design workable solutions, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and drive projects to successful implementation.
• Flexibility, sharp organizational and process-oriented skills, and a self-starting work ethic.
• Demonstrated passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $135,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
