Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.Export Control Requirement:

Key job responsibilities
As a Power Integrity Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and developing Power Integrity test methodologies, participating in design reviews, performing PI simulations, providing reports, collaborating with other engineers to develop solutions, and working to ensure a high technical bar for PCB power across Kuiper.
A day in the life
Engineers on the Signal/Power Integrity (SI/PI) team work across the entire Kuiper satellite system, providing design inputs, developing requirements, establishing best practices, performing power integrity simulations, and working with designers to make design improvements.
About the team
The SI/PI team interacts broadly across the entire Kuiper project to deliver electrical designs. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems that haven't been solved at scale before. Along the way, we guarantee that you highly reliable, power efficient, performant, low cost satellite bus and payload. You will learn a lot, have fun and make a positive impact on millions of people.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.- 4+ years of experience in hardware development
- 4+ years of experience in PI simulations and lab validation
- Experience using simulation tools such as ANSYS, CST, Hspice, ADS, Hyperlynx, etc.
- Experience using VNAs, oscilloscopes and probing techniques.
- Experience participating in schematic and design reviews.
- Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools – Mentor Xpedition preferred
Extended Qualifications
- Demonstrated design innovation in complex board design- Experience in high frequency power integrity simulation and analysis
- Experience in silicon (on-chip) and package power delivery network principles
- Experience using Apache Redhawk and/or Voltus IR/DvD tool set

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
