Description
Come join the Devices Regulatory Compliance team here at Microsoft! We design, validate and certify Xbox, Surface and PC peripheral devices for launch in countries across the world. We need your expertise in Regulatory Compliance in areas of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), RF (Radio Frequency) and Safety, to obtain certifications for our products.In this specific role, you will provide a key function of a Regulatory Certifications Program Manager as a part of the Global Certifications team obtaining regulatory certifications for hardware products in areas of EMC, RF & Safety for international markets.

Obtaining international regulatory certifications for products in areas of EMC, Radio & Safety Compliance to enable product launches in international markets.Tracking changes in international EMC, Radio & Safety Regulatory Compliance standards.Interpreting international EMC, Radio & Safety Regulatory Compliance standard changes and determining applicability to products based on technology and jurisdiction.Tracking and managing product user-documentation, labeling and retail packaging updates resulting from regulatory requirement changes.Tracking and Program Managing products in sustaining to maintain compliance for continued market access.Coordinating and preparing necessary Compliance documentation for submissions to regulatory authorities and preparing Declarations of Conformity (DoC) for product self-declarations.Working closely with EMC, Radio & Safety Subject Matter Experts, External Regulatory Labs and Agencies, Product Development Engineers, Product Planners, Marketing, User Assistance, Global subsidiaries and Legal & Localization services to ensure that the products meet global technical & legal requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.1+ years of experience in International Regulatory Certifications in areas of EMC, Radio & Safety Compliance.Other Requirements:
Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply electro-technical international regulatory requirements for EMC, Radio & Safety Compliance of consumer electronics for sale in countries such US, Canada, EU, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India, China, etc.Understanding of international product marking and user documentation requirements related to the above areas of Regulatory Compliance.
Demonstrated Program Management and Collaboration skills.
Understanding of product development/sustaining life cycles and associated impact to product certifications for launch and continued market access.
Technical documentation skills.
Cross-functional team skills.
Written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Good practical knowledge of EMC, Radio & Safety test standards and methods.Electrical Engineering degree.Electrical Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
